These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ExpensesBook mobile application (the "App") provided by Ceylon Apz ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law expressly permits.
- Interfere with the App's operation, security, or infrastructure.
- Resell or sublicense access to the App without our written consent.
- Upload content that violates intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
4. Free and paid plans
The App is offered with a free tier and optional paid subscriptions. The free tier includes a limited number of books, pages per book, and entries per page. Paid plans unlock higher limits and additional features.
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may be converted to your local currency by Google Play. Taxes may apply.
5. Billing, renewals & cancellation
- Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and are subject to Google's payment terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can cancel any time via Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. Refund requests must go through Google Play.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of the content you enter into the App. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the App for you (for example, to sync your books across your devices). For details on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, design, trademarks, and content (excluding the data you enter) are owned by Ceylon Apz and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal or internal business purposes.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Firebase, and Google Play Billing. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes in third-party services.
9. Availability & changes
We strive to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update the App to fix bugs or improve performance.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ExpensesBook is a personal finance tool — it is not financial, tax, or accounting advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ceylon Apz will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 20.
12. Termination
You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that creates legal or security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the App, without limiting any consumer rights you have under your local law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
